Ready for a Low-Buy Year, Seasonalist-Style?
The Seasonalist is about the joyful anticipation of seasonal livingβgetting things on the calendar, looking forward to them, and experiencing them. That includes music, books, food, games, experiences, crafts, and movies.
What the Seasonalist is not: an aesthetic, a decor blog, or a consumerist place. I want everyone to love their lives, without all the stuff. Iβm not saying I donβt have seasonal items. I do. I have lots of clothes, and my sneaker game is unmatched. But after seeing so much seasonal YUCK (junk) over the last few months on social media and in the storesβmy challenge is Can We Live an Awesome Seasonal Life in 2025βwithout the shopping and the environmental impact? Not to mentionβletβs all save some money and use that for travel and experiences instead.
The No Buy Year and the Low Buy Year are buzzing around the Internet. I can already tell you that a No Buy Year wonβt work. We need things, and sometimes, we want things. But can we LIMIT our shopping and mindfully consume instead? The answer is absolutely.
Iβve created a short, actionable program for 2025 that I am going to follow to the best of my ability with updates throughout the year.
