Jenny Bayliss is one of my favs but I was disappointed by her release last year (Meet Me Under the Mistletoe) and am bummed to hear you didn’t enjoy this years. I’ll still give it a go! I’m excited to read Snowed In this year after loving Holiday Romance last year ❄️ 🌲 ✨

This post is JUST what I needed!! Adding everything to my TBR asap.

I absolutely LOVED The Twelve Dates of Christmas, so cozy and delightful. And yes to Landline, a holiday-vibe book with some heart and depth and well... a magical landline, nostalgic perfection right there. I hope you enjoy it.

I devoured All I Want Is You by Falon Ballard over the weekend-- it was short and very sweet, a little Hallmark after dark if you will but under 300 pages which is ideal for romance IMHO. Maybe it's my fragile spirit at the moment but I bawled like a baby at the end.

I love that term "Hallmark After Dark"--adding to my list!

β€œThere’s just too many holiday books and not enough quality control” - THIS THIS THIS! I also detest when the characters are named the cutesy holiday names and have officially sworn off Christmas-themed towns. Still love me some holiday books, but I do have a limit.

Ooh, Christmas-themed towns is a good pet peeve. I do love some holiday reading, which is why I have to wait until after Thanksgiving. All things in good time.

This is perfect timing for putting in library holds! Thank you for the nudge. I also really enjoyed Jenny Colgan’s Christmas on the Island books - gorgeous remote Scottish island setting, a lovely small town cast of characters and romantic storylines. Also touches on some heavier themes but is overall super readable and seasonal!
