π· A Wee Guide to Spring Things--for when you're pressed for time but ready to relish the season. The Seasonalist's Guide goes up against Google Gemini's Spring Robot Guide. Who wore it best?
Thanks for the shoutout, friend! Love your celebratory spring ideas! I took a walk through the woodlands today and picked some wild daffodils for a spring equinox bouquet. Loooove this season!
Oh Nina! You know you wore it best! Thatβs what I love about newsletters like yours - you can 100% tell they were written by a real life human with feelings and opinions. I can instantly tell when something has either been written fully by AI, or assistive tech has been used to edit it so much that it seems like it was written fully by an AI. Keep doing what youβre doing β€οΈ also, YAY SPRING! nvm the snow we are supposed to get here tomorrow π
The Seasonalist definitely wore it best! AI can't give you "Debbie Downer! Refocus!" in the middle of a paragraph about breathing fresh air!! (Um but what there is a Substacker who generates AI content daily!?!). My husband an I disagree on this but I think AI is just a glorified search engine-- there is no color, no life, no "Refocus!" in the middle of a thought. Helpful sure, but bland...much like a saltine. Thank you for the inclusion of my spring article. Long live spring!!!!
Why do the oaks here have the dinkiest little leaves that are impossible to get rid of? Annoying. "Lucky" for us that Hurricane Helene knocked out so many trees. One less task on my to-do list. Spring is here and I'm enjoying the colorful blooms, buzzing bees, and sunny yet cool weather while it lasts.

Oh I remember those teaser spring days, followed by snow (I grew up in Ohio). But Spring IS Coming!
Iβm struggling to put the corduroys away. Theyβre so comfortable and easy. I know youβve been looking for work pants. Have you found any?
Yes, two pairs fromβ¦J. Crew Factory. Like a cotton twill? I will miss my cords. :o(

Brittany I may sidebar you on the substack I think is AI-generated. Iβd love to hear what you think.
AI is SO impersonal. Thanks for voting for the Seasonalist in the battle with AI! π
Yes please do!!
And duh, always!!! That's why we love you-- your my internet big sister! AI could never!!

And we spend a ridiculous amount of money babying these trees with the "arborist." I'm in a crazy cycle with these trees.
I'm sorry about Hurricane Helene! Horrifying.
Yes, we need to enjoy Spring quickly in the South. Summer is lurking.
