I appreciate this so much! I donβt need a list of 100 things Iβll never get to, I need just those few things that I will actually do. My fall basics will be a walk by the Mississippi when there are peak fall colors, rereading the Night Circus, making my favorite autumn salad, and now youβve just inspired me to add pumpkin cookies to the short list. Yum!
I love this slow, simple, joyful inspiration! I'm newish (last couple of weeks) to finding your Substack and have been so enjoying reading your words. While I love all of the seasons and am thankful I live somewhere (NS) that gets to experience all of the seasons, there really is something about Fall! ππ₯°
I love the idea of a seasonal "capsule"-- brilliant!! I'm over streaming, so comfort movies have become my new identity-- we just watched When Harry Met Sally over the weekend (it does indeed require a full weekend to complete a movie as we do indeed fall asleep after 30 minutes), and the same as you it has been a very long time since I have watched it and it truly HIT, it had both me and my husband laughing. My fall essentials are apple picking, pumpkin carving, and seasonal movies and books, as long as those things happen, I'm a happy camper. βΊοΈπ
Yes! I am feeling all of thisβ¦my kids are in sports every night of the week so I have barely had a chance to even get a spiced latte yet. I did switch my wreath out and I made my first batch of soup (cream of zucchini to use up some of my crop).
Trying to enjoy it because I know Iβll miss it when itβs over (senior night is Thursday π). That said, both of my kids teams are winless so itβs made for a very LONG few weeksβ¦.

I'm envious of the apple picking. I am looking forward to When Harry Met Sally--glad it holds up!

Hello friend!
Now that I'm an empty nester looking back--those sports days are brutal. Had a swimmer and a basketball player. NONSTOP. And yay on soup! :o)
