🌎 Seasonal PSA Stuff
Mother’s Day is tomorrow, which is stressful for my family as it comes two weeks after my birthday. I requested some yard weeding and going out to dinner. No gifts (see: birthday; see: consumerism). My mom lives in California so she’s getting DoorDash something (flowers? food? TBD).
DO NOT BUY YOUR MOTHER THIS.
📚 Book Stuff
I listened to an oldie (but goodie), “I’ve Got Your Number” by the great Sophie Kinsella on my commute. I read it way back in 2011 when it was first published, but I’ve decided to go back through the Sophie Kinsella backlog on audio (cuz the humor and banter are too good). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
📺 TV Stuff
I’m not The Seasonalist if I’m not watching “The Four Seasons” on Netflix. This was wayyyyy more serious than I thought it would be—there is a scene where Tina Fey must cry and I did laugh (she doesn’t have the acting skills). Push through the first two episodes, and you’ll be hooked. Will Forte stands out IMHO (why is he not a YUGE star?).
💗 Touching My Soul Stuff
From Brianna Wiest’s “The Pivot Year” (I keep this book in the bathroom for a little “leisure” reading)—for those looking at summer as a time to start anew. I live for a Summer Bucket List (coming soon to The Seasonalist).

The ice cream cone is unaesthetic because I made it myself—at the DINING HALL. I made my son dine with me there after we moved him out. What a thrill.
I DOUBT IT. But I hope yours is lovely with your littles!
Chiming in very late to tell you that soft serve ice cream in college dining halls when I would go to summer swim camps was seriously one of the reasons I was very dedicated to attending college - ALL YOU CAN EAT SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM??? #worthit
